Why We Ride
In 2015, Jonathan Daige (JD), Founder and CEO started a small team, Thin Blue Ride, comprised of law enforcement officers and military Veterans that wanted to help raise money for cancer research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In 2015 team Thin Blue Rides raised over $27,000.00 in their first Pan Mass Challenge, for JD's Doctor, Dr. Christopher Sweeney's cancer research team.
JD is living proof that Dana Farber is a life saving organization. He had10 invasive procedures within a three year time period. During that time he stayed positive with help from hospital staff, family and friends.
My first PMC 2015 marked my 1 year cancer free! The best way to celebrate my health was to ride 192 miles with my team by my side. Pan-Mass will forever be a part of me. While getting the proper medical attention at Dana Farber I had no idea my treatments were being aided through previous PMC rides. For that reason I will always ride in the PMC. So that my team can help pave the way for treatments and hopefully a cure."
Team Thin Blue Ride has not only grown their PMC team each year but continue to ride and raise funds each year!
In 2015 team Thin Blue ride raised $27,519.76.
In 2016 team Thin Blue Ride raised $24,754.
In 2017 team Thin Blue Ride raised $19,925.00
In 2018 team Thin Blue Ride has a goal of $40,000.
